Detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
Your safari will start with pick up from Julius Nyerere International Airport where your representative will be waiting for you. You will be transferred to your accommodation in Dar es Salaam for overnight Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2: Drive to Nyerere National Park
You will have breakfast at the hotel in Dar es Salaam ahead of the transfer by road to Nyerere National Park. After checking in at the lodge in Nyerere National Park, you will have lunch and later engage in an afternoon game drive around the park in search of the different wildlife species including predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full day game drive in Nyerere National Park
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will prepare to spend the day exploring the wilderness of Nyerere National Park in search of wildlife species like antelopes, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, African wild dog, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and black rhino among others during game drives.
You will start the day with a morning game drive and explore the savannah in search of the animals and have lunch overlooking the wilderness and later enjoy an afternoon game drive before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Walking safari and afternoon boat ride
You will engage in a walking safari and an afternoon boat ride in Nyerere National Park on this day and enjoy seeing different wildlife species in the open plains and woodlands as well as by the shores of the water during the boat safari.
Day 5: Full day in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you will have another day to explore the wilderness of Nyerere National Park during game drives throughout the day. You will return to the lodge after exploring another part of the park as you search for the animals at the destination such as lions, impalas, waterbucks, elands, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs among others.
Day 6: Drive to Ruaha National Park
You will be served breakfast before check out at the lodge in Nyerere National Park and on this day transfer to Ruaha National Park for more wildlife viewing experiences across the southern part of Tanzania. You will engage in an afternoon game drive on this day to see the different wildlife species such as zebras, giraffes, and jackals among others in Ruaha National Park.
Day 7: Game drives in Ruaha National Park
After breakfast, you will engage in a morning game drive in Ruaha National Park and search for wildlife species such as giraffes, waterbucks, elands, warthogs, impalas, lions, leopards, gazelles, and many others as you explore the remote national park.
You will also engage in an afternoon game drive around Ruaha National Park to look out for other wildlife species before driving back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Drive to Mikumi National Park
Breakfast will be served at the lodge in Ruaha National Park before your transfer to Mikumi National Park where you will engage in an afternoon game drive and later drive to the lodge for dinner.
Day 9: Game drives in Mikumi National Park
Your breakfast will be served at the lodge in Mikumi National Park as you prepare for a full-day game drive experience during which you will search for wildlife species like zebras, lions, kudu, elephants, giraffes and many others.
Day 10: Morning game drive and transfer to Dar es Salaam
You will enjoy a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park to see more wildlife species before starting the journey back to Dar es Salaam where your guide will drop you off.
