3 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari
Baby Mountain Gorilla

You will be assigned a gorilla family to track with and a park guide who is knowledgeable about gorillas and jungle trails. The duration of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park ranges from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. This is because gorillas are constantly on the move in quest of sustenance. During trekking, you will see forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates such as l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and chimpanzees, and various bird species such as the African harrier hawk, the crowned hornbill, the African green pigeon, and the blue headed sunbird, among others.

Once the gorillas have been located, you will be permitted one hour with them in their habitat, allowing you to observe their daily activities, such as feeding, nursing, playing, as well as observe their behaviour, take breathtaking photographs, and record these unforgettable moments to share with others back home. After your one-hour encounter with the gentle giants, you will trek back to the park headquarters, where you will be presented with a certificate for participating in gorilla tracking. You will then be transferred to your lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala

After a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver-guide to return to Kampala. During your journey, you will stop for lunch and take in breathtaking views of the Kigezi highlands, country sides, terraced farmlands, tea and banana plantations, and other scenic areas. You will arrive in Kampala in the early evening, and the driver guide will leave you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, or at a location of your choice within Kampala city.
