  • Masai Mara Reserve

Masai Mara Reserve is among the safari destinations that are famous in Kenya and is home to numerous wildlife species including the Big Five such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos.

The wildebeest migration can also be seen during the tours around Masai Mara Reserve located in Southwestern Kenya. During this migration, millions of wildebeests can be witnessed across the savannah plains in the reserve and as they cross the Mara River from Tanzania.

Best Time to Visit Kenya

Throughout the year, tours can be conducted around destinations in Kenya which experience a tropical climate with a dry season and wet or rainy season.

The dry season is the best time to visit Kenya and it is experienced during the months from June to October when the wildebeest migration can be witnessed in Masai Mara Reserve from July, August, and throughout September.

The rainy season is a good time for bird-watching tours when visiting Kenya and wildlife safaris can also be done during this time of the year in the different national parks in the country.
